I hate bronchitis, I hate the coughing and the runny nose, and I hate the nasty little red and yellow pills that form my perscription.

I have decided that all sick members may post here, and we can all feed each other sympathy.

I hate stomach flus. I seem to get them annually, and I always throw up. I just recovered from a worse stomach flu session and am very glad to have recovered.

Ouch...annual stomach flu? I've only had it twice, and the first time I was young enough to be completely ignorant to the stomach pain. I threw up all over my preschool room, though.

And I am pretty happy to report that I am only slightly sniffly and coughy — probably allergies. My sister just had bronchitis all last week, though.

I am recovering from a rather debilitating cold. My sympathy is upon anyone with any form of disease, although those that disallow sleep seem to be the worst... That causes me to loose all sense of sanity, as if the fluffy turtles weren't bad enough.

Exactly what it's like for me. I tend to blackout when I throw up and it isn't much fun at all.

Perhaps people are too busy supplying it to your victims.

Not long ago, I had a horrible cold. I missed so many days of school...and my grades aren't any happier for it. :( Forgot to mention. I forgot to make up for them. And it's already been too long.

But now I just have a stuffy nose. Some level of huzzah! Or, maybe, much less anti-huzzah!

I think I have an allergy to some sort of pollen...or something, because my stuffy nose tortures me during the spring here in Oregon. Ugh.

With school you should be able to make up work.
Teachers shouldn't hate or punish you for being sick.

Forgetting to make up work, and not being allowed to make up work are two very different things. :P

I am "sick" right now, as in "Uh oh, was that a runny nose? I better not go to school-- you know, so I don't contaminate anybody else" kind of sick. I'm pretty burned out.

I am still recovering from a bad cold, which lingered on, gathering along the way an ear infection and a case of strep throat. The antibiotics were enormous. I also hallucinated. A lot. That might have been fun, had I not been sick.

I once had an ear infection. In both ears. I took amoxicillin for it, and a medicine for allergic reactions (don't remember which one). But...it turns out I was allergic to amoxicillin. And it was working so well!

My ear canals are still swollen (I mean...is it really normal for there to be flesh or something just inside the ear canal?!). But they don't hurt unless I get a bad cold.

I just got over a mild stomach flu, myself.

Ah, yes. I remember amoxicillin, for that really bad case of toncilitis a few years back...

Suffice to say, the purplish rash that covered my entire body for two days drew a lot of amusing stares. I didn't care. I didn't even know about it until someone at church asked if I had done something to bruise my neck.

Ill, try having kids. They get everything. Three days running now, as each child sequentially comes down with the same bug. Good thing my house isn't an orphanage.

Having kids, try working residentially with children whose hygiene is deleterious at best, and who all go elsewhere in the state at intervals in order to bring more infections to the facility.

Expand the definition. Institutions/facilities are genreally much worse. My sympathies.

I do not think that running noses, common allergies, and minor symptoms of general malaise are comparable to Sarasaphilia's bronchitis. My mother caught a terrible cold from my brother last week and lost her voice as a result. I somehow seem to have evaded this particularly nasty cold, but I am still going to knock on wood for this statement, just in case.

I feel quite healthy and I feel like laughing at all whose immune systems have momentarily failed them. I guess I better keep knocking on that wood now.

I hate you. *hack* *hack* *wheeze*

I just knew somebody was going to post and say that.

And 4000mg's of penicillin is a lot. Wow. The largest perscription I've ever had was my last one, at 250 mgs. I usually don't have severe enough illnesses to warrant a medication aside from some herbal tea, a cough drop, or Cold FX.

And while we're on the topic of illnesses, I have not heard anything from Nicothodes after that thread over a problem with carpal tunnel, tendonitis, or bone erosion. I do, though hope that Nico's on the mend.
