She'll be back, I'm sure. Three weeks ago, she said she'd be definitely gone for the next two weeks. So it's hardly an unexpected or likely permanent absence.

More concerned about Premonition, FZ, BSC and also Rosycat. They've been gone for ages. Okay, Prem was here earlier this year.

I'd say the problem is the entire community now apparently consisting of lame inside jokes.

And is that not the definitive quality of any online community older than a year?

Well, apart from the "lame" bit, but that's subjective.

Actually, what it will bring is a horde of newbies, most of who are clueless about much of anything, hate the Exile/Avernum series if they even know of it, and consider grammar something for other people. A whole new September beckons. And the sad part is that we won't even have TM to rant about it. :P

Who are FZ and BSC?

The people I'd really like to see back and active would be Alcritas and Drizzt. However, I know that won't happen anytime soon, if ever.

Neither was ever active on Spiderweb, of course. Alcritas, at least, expressed less than cordial sentiments towards these boards and their creator. That didn't stop him from running for Misc. mod, or rather from being run for Misc. mod.

Whoah... I can place 15th with only 42 posts now?

Whoah... I placed at all?!

Well, once my dorm's internet connection stops being so incredibly painful... I'll be here more.

I claim seniority! This is outrageous. I'm furious. I demand that Spidweb be banned. He only posts trash anyways.

I'm back again. I just got home an hour or so ago. I said two weeks (and I only said it on Polaris), but I really meant three. I guess I should have made a dramatic good-bye topic to increase the posting rate before I left.

Dikiyoba apologizes for not being around, but Dikiyoba just spent three weeks backpacking in the middle of nowhere. Electricity and an Internet connection were nonexistant.

Dikiyoba traveled through the Tonto National Forest in Arizona. More specifically, in the Hell's Gate Wilderness Area. Map. Another map.

Arancaytar welcomed Dikiyoba back on Polaris, but Arancaytar hereby does so again just because Arancaytar enjoys the opportunity of talking in the third person.

For a moment, I read that as the Toronto National Forest in Arizona... and it was confusing. How was the trip?

I hope I'm not counted with the horde of clueless, avernum-hating, grammar-deficient newbies. Yikes!

Oh, and welcome back, Dikiyoba.

Well, I suppose I really aught to post this so I at least appear on the list next month, even if this is my only post.

I'm just really finding at the moment that when I do have the time online, I'm not relaly interested in many of the topics going on at the moment. And the problem is, the less people post, the less I'm motivated to post.

Aargh!!!

I think she was looking for a Long John Silver's restaurant near the USS Arizona. Silly, really.

Dikiyoba followed Tonto into hell to find the Lone Ranger, but then she changed her mind after reading about Happy International Talk Like a Pirate Day and decided to go to Long John Silver's but instead found herself on the USS Arizona.

Really good. It was my first backpacking experience, and I really liked it.

Plus, no one in my group had to be evacuated or leave at resupply. A lot of the other groups lost at least one member. (At this point, I think I should explain that I'm going to Prescott College and that all new and transfer students go out on this backpacking trip as their first class.)

But Dikiyoba did miss posting here. Dikiyoba went through serious Spiderweb withdrawals the first few days.
