In honor of Alec, who started the first two abominable photo threads (along with the pet photo thread offshoot) I'd like to begin yet another photo thread. Not much time has elapsed since the last one, but we have a lot of new faces around here, and it stands to reason that these faces be properly introduced. So, to lead things off, here I am in a photo taken at a party I attended in May, back in the days of the goatee and before the current era of the mutton chops. I don't look too different nowadays, although I'm somewhat less scruffy and quite a bit less drunk. :P Go ahead and post your picture! -------------------- Stughalf "Delusion arises from anger. We'll see if this url will work... This photo was taken at my bachelor party (a camping trip) during the last weekend of June. I'm the one in the middle. My friends Bill and Adrian are flanking me. I was probably close to three sheets to the wind by that point in the evening. :) [ Friday, July 22, 2005 11:50: Message edited by: Drew ] Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

*frowns* Once again the photo thread comes, and once again I have no photo. Hmmm... Perhaps I can find something and scan it in to my computer. -------------------- Take the Personality Test! Salmon, how old are you? I would put you at about 26-28. Though I look like a young'un, I'm actually 27. This is largely due to my inability to grow any sort of a respectable beard. [ Friday, July 22, 2005 12:01: Message edited by: Drew ] Posts: 2242 | Registered: Saturday, April 10 2004 07:00 |

We were fishing for speckled trout and I caught that little bugger instead. Usually we caught a bunch of sand and blue shark (all <4' long) but finding this hammer head shark was so unusual that we got a photo. Still not sure if it is a true hammerhead, as there is another species that resembles it. As far as I know, that fish is still alive today. Despite the apparent danger, I highly recommend surf fishing. All you need to do is be willing to walk out 2-300 yards into the water to make your cast where it is breast deep. Then walk back in to waist deep water and put your pole in the holder. Then when it bends down, run back out into the surf and grab it and start reelin'. A point of advice, if you see a big dorsal fin slowly back up to the shore. And make sure you shuffle your feet while walking to avoid the sting rays. Also, sharks don't like the grit filled water and are less likely to take out a chunk of calf. *this message sponsored by craftsman - makers of fine needlenose hook removal pliers* Posts: 4114 | Registered: Monday, April 25 2005 07:00 |

I don't like this picture, but it's the only one I have. Aran is Harry Potter's blond-haired brother, I swear. Linked for bigness. Group photos are always bad, but hey. Better one of just me coming up soon, I hope. Have you discussed this problem with a certain other Spidwebber whose uncanny Harry Potter resemblance shall be his to reveal or conceal for now, Aran? There might be some good fan horde evasion tips to share. Me: —Alorael, who is proud to have a picture to share at last. Posts: 14579 | Registered: Saturday, December 1 2001 08:00 |

Aran's a bit thin to be Harry Potter or an identical brother with blond hair, but those glasses are perfect. I'm not sure to whom Alorael is refering, but when I get my pictures back from the "Harry Potter Party" at the local Borders, you'll see he's got nothing on me. The last topic took long enough and I don't feel like hunting those photos down again. I just had my senior picture taken; I'll post it here when I get it, assuming it's good and this topic's still alive. Dolphin, I don't know if I've said this but you look almost exactly like a friend of mine. What's that zebra thing behind you in the second pic? EDIT: Alex, I believe that's the point. EDIT2: College, Gobsmack? No offense but I wouldn't have put you above your freshman year in high school based on that picture... Not really, David. Dumbledore said on numerous occasions that Harry is very thin. And so has Mrs. Weasley. Aran does look like Harry. I'll still wait for your pictures, though. -------------------- I'll put a Spring in your step. Polaris Posts: 2396 | Registered: Saturday, January 29 2005 08:00 |
