Geneforge used to be my favorite out of the spiderweb games. Jeff's lost the concept. He thinks that making more of a hit game will be good. I don't concur.While some of you may like that idea, I'm finding Jeff's games getting boring.

Let's see, in over 10 years how many different game types have there been?
-Nethergate
-Exile/Avernum (same plot)
-Geneforge

I believe the spellshards in A3 are the only real reference for vahnatai-made crystals. Nothing of the sort in a1 or a2. With the exception of crystals in vahnatai towns in a2.

Sometimes single letters. sometimes ------. Sometimes X4672 etc. for "soldier" names kinda like star wars with the clone army. Normal names...hey they suck! :)

There's also a special item editor by a guy named Zeviz a couple years back. I'm not sure where it is but Croikle's is much better.

The most obvious is the creation screen, where it says strong and weak. Guardians rely on strength. Invest in fighting skills, as well as default, such as strength and dexterity. Endurance is also helpful, but you won't need intelligence. Also general skills are good. If you are a guardian you won't really need shaping or magic skills. You should be stronger than all your creations, unlike a shaper.

I'm not sure. If this thing is a success, I'll be in. However, this board has wasted away in the past couple years. I remember watching everyone on here, and now its just sort of blah. Guess topic ideas are running low.

Back on topic, I reconsidered. Maybe a small part. Not one of those "6 spots". I don't really go on the computer often anymore. Only on weekends, thats about it.

I think they were one of the more focused monsters along with the nephilim. The nephilim and sliths both had a lot of different forts, and were power players.

It's just avernum 4 needs a new concept, and vahnatai seem to be the ones based on their previous usage in avernum. their time for being in the spotlight is a4, i believe. :)

They've played side roles too long perhaps. Sliths were a major character in Avernum. So were nephilim. They got turned to PCS. Empire was a major character in A2. Same with A3. Got any other ideas, smart one?
